Old Chapman’s Diary

It was a great honor for me to meet him at the end mouth of George Street
He proved something different in the coming days of shameful retreat
He passed away forever in his last painful sleep on heartbreaking Friday night
He had his right hand over his heart and was smiling serenely to the light.
While I am saddened by his loss, I’m also incredibly grateful for his sacrifice
Old Chapman was the only living legend to conquer deadly afflicted cries
He was aware that he was breaking new ground in the struggle of equal right
Although he did not set out to spark a social revolution on inequalities fight
Measures to tackle the inflation were likely to cause more damage to the poor
Old Chapman encouraged with his effort to destroy the obstacle of rich’s door.
Being given a chance before being told you couldn’t do just because of your birth
Old Chapman said with tears – “ We are all equal in this black and white earth”
He celebrated his 100th birthday by giving medical aid among the Negro orphans
And all Negros were really just interested in being accepted among White clans
Old Chapman dedicated his life to sharing the lessons of Cosmopolitan Society
And that is why he wrote on his entire Diary to raise fund by All Negro Charity.
