Looking at itself in the mirror of time.
The footprints of refugee children
Fade into the dust of history.
The sky is covered in the smoke of war,
And a map is stolen
By the greed of a ruler.

This century writes itself—
The sound of bombs, the tune of tears,
The ruins of dead love.
Democracy stands,
Gazing through the bars of a prison window.
The song of freedom fades
Under the weight of war tanks.

Yet, the Earth keeps turning.
Humans dream,
Dreams break,
And are pieced together once more.
12+12 today is not just a number,
It marks the beginning of a new chapter.

This day will be written—
Where, between two eras,
Hope was born.
A world,
Where love conquers war,
And the stories of humanity are written
